    Suddenly Sam was a well traveled 13 year old Golden Retriever.  He camped across the US and Canada with us and to Alaska and back in the summer of '97, to Texas in the Spring of '98, and to Oregon in the summer of '99.  His partner is Last Chance, a 13 year old Lab who made his first big trip to Texas and back in the spring of '98 and then went camping across country to Oregon in '99.  In 2001 they went on a 9766 mile trip to Inuvik in Canada's Northwest Territory. In 2002 they went to Mexico visiting Mazatlan, where they enjoyed swimming in the ocean, and Durango. In 2003 they checked out Colorado and Wyoming and in 2004 they found Oregon to their liking.  In 2007 they added Utah to their list.

Suddenly Sam died in Oregon in 2007 in the middle of another camping trip.  Last Chance is still with us and still camping.  California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, and Oregon on his most recent trip in 2009-2010.
